Chairman

Robert has been a Trustee since 1985 and has been Chairman since 1988.

Robert can trace his family connections in Bridgnorth back to 1609 and is a Freeman of the Town.

​

Robert has played an active part in many community groups, he was a founder member of Tasley Parish Council and the Bridgnorth Walk Committee. He is a past Chairman of Bridgnorth Round Table and past president of Bridgnorth Round Table and Bridgnorth 41 Club. He was also Trustee of Low Town community Hall Until Hall was passed to the Town Council.

Currently Robert is senior vice President of Bridgnorth Rotary Club and Vice Chairman of Tasley Village Hall Management Committee.

Robert started his working life within family business of Caterers and then set up his own business of Catering Equipment sales and Hire until retirement in 2010.

Vice Chair

Helen has been a Trustee since 1991 and has been Vice-Chair since 2012.

She was born in Bridgnorth and attended Bridgnorth Grammar school. She trained to be a teacher and worked first in Shifnal and then in Bridgnorth. She has also worked as a Tourist Information Officer in Bridgnorth and has volunteered in the local Oxfam shop.

Helen was a Bridgnorth Town Councillor for 14 years and was Town Mayor 1990-1991.

She is an active member of St Marys Church in Bridgnorth where she is a member of the Parochial Church Council and leader of the Mothers Union.

Helen is also a member of Bridgnorth Civic Society, Sustainable Bridgnorth and a committee member of the Twinning Association.

Chair of Finance Committee

Iain has been a Trustee since 2014 and became Chairman of the finance committee last October.

Iain was a Bank Manager (Midland Bk then HSBC) for 31 years (ended up as a Credit Control Manager in a Corporate Banking Area Office) then a Management Consultant 1995 to 2002 (had roles such as Project Manager; Senior Business Analyst; Business Process Re-Engineering and Coaching for Senior Management. Worked at Egg; Thames Water; Prudential Insurance; Telecoms Co.; MBNA; Inland Revenue and some councils).

Iain has held many community roles over the year’s e.g.

President of Bridgnorth Rotary Club (twice); Chairman of District Rotary Committees and other roles

Mayor of Bridgnorth

Councillor Bridgnorth District (leader of opposition); Bridgnorth Town (Chairman of Committee overseeing budgets, performance and staffing)

Bridgnorth Rugby Union Football Club Vice President

Chairman of South Staffordshire Council for Voluntary Services.

Treasurer of many organisations incl. some charities; Bridgnorth Bathing Project; Bridgnorth Monday Club and  Bridgnorth Golf Club amongst others.
