Severn Street, in Low Town, consists of 18 cottages which have been acquired over the past 35 years by the charity. Each house had an allotment plot to the rear which had become disused and overgrown. This land is the development site.

The cottages were built approximately 150 years ago and were the original mill workers' cottages. The cottages are available for any age group.
